Automated Route

Routing is a way to interact with other users or departments within a Profile, passing records/documents within the database from one individual to another.

Be creative with this feature to see if it might fit within your business needs.

This is a basic workflow process.  There are slight automation processes that can be performed using the Stamp Feature (click to learn more about Stamps),  which can allow for an approval processs.  There may also be more advanced reports and automation performed outside the database using report software similiar to Crystal Reports.  Please contact your Authorized Reseller if you would like to expand its use with more powerful features, functionality, and automation processes.

Note:  Each Routing Portal is independent from one Profile to another.  You can not Route documents to another profile.  You can save the file outside the database (i.e. temporarily to desktop) and then import back into the database within the appropriate Profile if needed.  The Print to IMS and Send to IMS features may also come in handy when trying to move content from one Profile to the next.  Any changes, additions, annotations, or attachments made to the record or documents will be reflected within the database or Routing Portal simultaneously.
