Attach File via scanner

In order to attach a file via a local scanner, you must be using a Smart View Scan Seat or Smart View Batch Scan Seat.  In addition to using the correct Viewer, you must also have the security rights to make attachments.

You should now be viewing your scanner's own driver.  Every scan driver looks different, therefore we did not include a picture example.  You will need to select appropriate options if any settings are required.  Ultimatly, you will need to select whatever buttom allows you to start the scanning process.

Once scanning is complete, you should see an attachment added to the "Files" section (directly located beneath the first selected "Attach File" button).

Note:  if scanning multiple documents, they will all become a multipage Tiff or PDF or in other words one complete Tiff or PDF containing multiple pages.  If you need all the pages to be seperated and organized, you will need to use either the Batch Scan Module or the Smart View Batch Scan Seat ( selecting the "Scan" tab).  Or you may scan each page or set of pages seperatly into your scanner, performing this above step-by-step process over and over again.
